The idea

Professional headshots usually mean booking a photographer, a studio and an afternoon. Reflexa replaces all of that with an upload: ten to twenty casual selfies in, a personal AI model of your face out, then studio-quality headshots and themed portraits in seconds.

What we built

• A personal AI model for every customer. Each upload is screened by AI for photos that will train well, cropped and prepared, then used to train an image model on that person’s face. The first batch of photos is ready in about three minutes.
• A pipeline that controls its own costs. The first version launched GPU servers on demand, picked the cheapest available hardware for each job and shut it down the moment the work was done. Today training and generation run through managed AI providers behind one interface, so switching providers is a configuration change, not a rebuild.
• 42 themed photo packs. From corporate headshots to creative portraits, with more than 250 prompts tuned for consistent, realistic results, and an AI assistant that drafts new pack ideas.
• Instant mode. Headshots without training a model, for people who want results right away.
• Packages, credits and subscriptions. One-time packages, credit packs and monthly plans through Stripe, all tracked in a credit ledger.
• Live progress. Training status and new photos appear in real time, without a refresh.
• An admin to run the business. Users, trainings, models, images, photo packs, subscriptions and a view of the billing funnel.

How we worked

We owned every layer of Reflexa, from concept to launch: product design, brand, frontend, backend, the machine learning pipeline and the infrastructure behind it. When managed model training caught up with what the custom pipeline could do, we moved the product onto it, cutting training to minutes and making every AI provider swappable.
